I think it is rediculous that gays and lesbians have to be vengeful in their pursuit for equal rights. In this country more and more gay and lesbian Americans feel they have to remain closeted to hide who they are as they feel the reality of being gay isn't as glamorous as Hollywood portraits it. It is also sad that the majority of homophobic Americans (mainly men) are against gays for absolutely no logical reason and those same Americans make up the majority of leaders in our government who condemn gay marriage based on the views of their own political party and not because its right or wrong. As for gays adopting? I think it is difficult for anyone to measure the benefits of gay parents in the adoption ring when most of the social workers probably operate on a conservative set of views. Basically I believe anyone can be a great parent and sexual orientation shouldn't even be a question on the application for adoption! Dave
